Optisailors Summer Clinic

Once again, the St Thomas YC will be the venue for the Optisailors Summer Clinic. It will be a week of great sailing, with 3 days of clinic from monday thru wednesday. Followed by the Team Racing competition on Thursday and finally the 3-day Scotiabank Regatta. The dates will be from june 15th to 21st.

IODA North Americans – Fighting till the end!!!

It has been a very long time since we last had the privilege to observe such close battle for the title between four great sailors. Until the last race of the event, Russel Kan (SIN), Rachel Lee (SIN), Iván Aponte (PUR) and Raúl Ríos (PUR) had chances to win the title.

IODA Worlds 2008 - PUERTO RICO RULES!!!

The clear waters of Cesme, Turkey, were the perfect stage, set for the performance of 250 sailors taking part in the 2008 IODA World Championship. The location was absolutely perfect for such event, with everyone staying in a very nice hotel, right next to the sailing venue

Tactics – What did you say?

It is easy to have a chat in a whiteboard about Strategy and Tactics: “Starts, Shifts, Current, Clear Air, bla bla bla….” But how do we stop just talking about it and actually start making some decisions in the water?? What do you think about spraytops?

They should be made of a lighter cloth so as to be able to move freely.

They should be made of a heavy cloth, because light spray-tops are not enough protection.

Light spray-tops are better because they are useful in every weather condition.

Having one of each is the best.
